Installations @ The Super Fair

I had the pleasure of bringing in 2 installations for the Super Fair at Fort Mason in March 2025. I created a living room scene for the lounge to create create a quite literal home away from home as I brought my personal pieces into the space and invited guests in.

Nonsense Makes Sense, Chapter 2: The Artist Fell in Love

As I stood back to look at the 176 pieces that tell this story, one that originally came from overwhelming grief, I found myself self conscious with if it was “good enough”. Grief is powerful, it changed me. I felt confident the previous body of work reflected it.

This collection revealed the new chapter I was in. I drew new pieces alongside previous ones that make up my story today. In my doubt I asked myself, “What’s changed?” And found myself pleasantly smiling at the answer.

“The artist fell in love.” That will change a person too.

Nonsense Makes Sense: The Communal Story

I wanted to have the community create their own versions of the Nonsense Series, to be included on the community wall. Despite the over 1,000 pieces that were created were by individuals, a cohesive story emerged. One of kindness, desire for togetherness, community, and the power of art. This outcome was an unexpected and powerful surprise, one I have carefully compiled to share with others as the story continues so that others can tell their stories alongside ours.
